This training program is a discussion tool for coaches and volunteers who work with children, youth and adults in sports clubs. It does not focus on performance, but on keeping girls in sport – especially in moments of uncertainty, failure or change.
Learning from real situations
Coaches learn best from concrete moments, not general rules. The program therefore works with situation cards: in teams, coaches propose their own reaction to a typical situation, compare it with a reference solution and discuss its impact on the player and the team. Repeated reactions become team rules – even if they were never said out loud.
Seven thematic blocks
- “Can I try?” – entry barriers
- “Do I belong?” – the need for acceptance
- “Can I manage?” – the need for competence
- “Is my body OK?” – the need for safety
- “Do you hear me?” – communication
- “Does it still make sense?” – dropout prevention
- “Am I safe here?” – protection of personal boundaries
The result is a shared approach in the club: every player has a place in the group, a chance to experience success, an active role in training and the feeling of being safe and respected.
